"...And I would walk 16,984 feet / and I..."
“…would walk 16,984 feet more…”
Given my love of all things Google (Gmail, Reader, Calendar, Gtalk, Google SketchUp [so fun], Google Earth, Google Docs), it should come as no surprise I slobber over the GOOG’s Maps, too.
Google has recently added a “My Maps” feature to Maps, and a tool that measures distance from a route a user draws. For the sake of exactitude I decided to measure how far I walk each day from our apartment to the Court House Metro, and then from Metro Center to my office, and back. The total distance? 9,092 feet, or 1.72196 miles.

On days when I also walk to my new gym in Rosslyn I walk 3.21666667 miles. And the car, with its beautiful new clutch kit, sits idly in the parking lot. Whew. And what about you, Gentle Reader(s?)?
